We have done work permit extension in April. Nothing yet. Has anyone received their work permit earlier than the current processiing time showing of 183 days? They won't process our kids study permit without the extension and we already left them back home over 2 months ago.

What work permit is this?

I have not heard of WP's getting processed sooner than posted times. It mostly takes longer - 6 months is an average right now.

You can raise a webform and explain your situation. No harm

Good Luck

We are under a closed work permit for PSW.

Unfortunately you will likely have to wait numerous months. You can try for TRVs but they aren’t true visitors so there is a good chance they will be denied. The other big issue is that there is a good chance the children will haven difficulty registering to attend school or qualifying for public healthcare. If they did arrive but couldn’t attend school or receive medical care under the provincial program that would also be problematic.
