Hi everyone,
We just received an email from the medical office in Nairobi stating they will not complete a medical for my stepson without a passport. We did not get him a passport as he will not be accompanying my spouse and other stepson to Canada under PR application. It would take us at least a month to get him a passport just for this purpose. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

If I recall correctly, you should be able to do the medical without a passport, provided the child has other acceptable ID, but I'm not sure. You can contact the relevant Regional Medical Office for clarification. They are pretty good at responding quickly and contacting the Panel Physician's office if there is a mistake.
