Hi there,
I was in canada for about a 3 months just come back in july, i had a visitor visa and in canada someone miss guided me and i went for
refugee claim and then the same day i realized this is not good, someone lie to me and he hide many realities about the subject. The lawyer was also lie to me and the middle man was just behind his commission which was settled with the lawyer. I am now in my home land and i had just sent CIC e-mails and faxes mentioning withdrawal from the refugee, even i contacted CIC from my homeland
through fax and e-mail that i want to withdraw from the subject but i just got reply from CIC that i need to contact the visa section in my homeland and get the appointment fill the form and sign it infront of the immigration officer. I do not understand what should i do
even i am still worried for my future traveling to canada, can anyone tell me what will happen if i visit the immigration officer in candian embassy for to withdraw personally. Please tell me anyone what will happen if i go personally to the embassy ???? I didnt attened any interview because i already informed my lawyer before the interview with the CIC that i want to quite but i am sure he didnt do any paper work for my withdraw. I decided withdraw exactly on the same week of my first attempt in CIC. so i didnt filled any refugee forms given by CIC to me, even no photos submitted, no figer prints taken.
So again : can anyone tell me what will happen if i visit the immigration officer in candian embassy for to withdraw personally ?????and
is it important to see the immigration officer in my homeland for my withdraw of refugee claim ? what will happend if i didnt go and leave that current status as it is. ???
Nothing will happen to you if you visit the embassy. They want to confirm that you have in fact left Canada and confirm that you have formally withdrawn your regufee application.
If you do nothing (i.e. if you don't go to the embassy), then I suspect CIC will eventually issue a departure order against you which will then turn into a deportation order. If this happens, it will be extremely difficult for you to ever enter Canada again.
hi there,
Thankyou very much for your precious words, i will report the immigration asap.
By the way their is further chance to get visa again ???
Hi,
How you left Canada without passport. If you have applied for refugee, CIC will hold your passport and refer your case to IRB and you should complete the forms you recieve from CIC (PIF).
I think you may just send the intial application and you did not meet CIC during your stay in Canada. If this is the case your application will not be considered and you are not refugee calimant.
If you will visit Canada Embassy in Rome, till them exactly what you did. As I think you did not filed a refugee.
Hope the better for you.

It's hard to say. I don't see why you can't try applying and see what happens.

Close to a nil chance of further temporary visas with a refugee claim in Canada.
hi salem10, thankyou for your reply. yes i just send the initial application and i did not meet CIC during my stay in canada.
hi scylla,
I just submit personally the initial form so still I am on refugee status, as mentioned previously i didnt filled any PIF form or submit my passport to CIC, even didnt attend any interview becauase already informed my lawyer for no interest in subject.
So i should still contact my homeland embassy immigration officer ???? please review the salem10 comments ???
In my opinion you need to follow the instructions CIC has given you and visit the homeland embassy office to formally withdraw your refugee claim.
hi scylla,
can you tell me there will be any interview in the homeland embassy with immigration officer regarding the subject or i
am just going to sign some forms ??
Are they going to do some written work on my passport ?? i should bring passport to the embassy or not at the time of withdrawal
refugee ???? I am a business man so i am affraid for my future visits to other countries. A photo copy of passport will be
workable for them ???
At this current situation my homeland embassy is aware of my refugee claim, means if i again apply for visit visa so will they find out my refugee status, even mentioned previously i didnt fill my pif form and never attended any interview etc???
tx

I don't know the answer to your first two questions.
For your third question, yes, the next time you apply for a visit visa to Canada you should assume your homeland embassy will know about your withdrawn refugee claim.
As I see it, you have two options:
1. follow CIC's instructions and formally withdraw the refugee claim or
2. do nothing, in which case CIC may eventually issue a departure order which will become a deportation order.
Either way, there will always be a record of the withdrawn/abandoned refugee claim. Time to put on your big boy panties and face whatever it is you started, don't you think.?.

Hi, when you file your initial application for refugee protection, you showed that your intension of permanent stay. By showing this interest, CIC will issue departure order on you. But this diparture order becomes not in effect if your refugee claim accepted as a refugee claimant.
Bu saying this, your refugee claim process is not completed and you did not meet CIC officer or file PIF. In my understanding, CIC officer at the office where you sent your application will issue a departure order on you. This departure order information will be saved on your file and passport number. Any future visa may effected by this.
Can you contact the visa office where you sent your application in Canada and get some more information from them? This will be the safest way to have clear information.
Hope the best for you
