I applied for PGWP outside Canada outside Canada since I was in my home country and did not had a TRV to return back.
Yesterday, I got my TRV approved and I want to ask if I can withdraw my PGWP outside Canada application and travel back to Canada to apply PGWP inland.
I am thinking to do this because I can not work as I do not have an implied status. PGWP outside canada is treated as Open work permit application and there is 20 weeks of processing time. On the other hand, I will get WP-Ext if I apply from Canada.

Is your study permit even valid because it expires 90 days following program completion?

Yes. I got my final results on 10th Jan 2025. And study permit is valid till 15 March 2025

So you finished your program on January 10? Program completion is not date of final results. Sure, should work.

Don’t cancel if you don’t have passport and can travel.

thats the catch. I just got my TRV passport request today. I applied for TRV as I have valid study permit till 15 march 2025. I am not sure if they will give me TRV till 15 March 2025 or till my passport expires...
If I know that they will give me TRV till my passport expires, I can think of applying PGWP from within Canada even though I am in India

No one can tell you until passport is stamped and returned. You cannot apply for PGWP inland if not in Canada. Don’t withdraw application until in Canada.

Yeah but if I get my passport after 15 march 2025 (which is expiry date of my SP) , i can't apply pgwp from Canada

Correct. You cannot apply inland until IN Canada. You can go to Canada after the 15th but need to restore status to student and wait for PGWP. Cannot work. Better just to stay home and wait for PGWP outland if cannot work in Canada.
