We got my spouse's medical examination 3 weeks ago. And we are waiting to get his new passport in the mail cause it was expiring in April so we got it renewed. I'm expecting to get it in the mail in 2 weeks. Will sending in the whole immigration packet 5 weeks after the medical exam was done too late? i know people say to wait to the last minute to do the med. exam...i wish we had done that now. But we need to wait for his new passport now. I hope we don't have to do the med. exam again if it expires...i know there is 12 months before it expires.
It's OK. If you are applying through a visa office that takes a long time, the medical may expire before you get the PR visa, but in that case you just get a new medical done.
And if you do not want to go straight away, getting a second medical may be good for you, since you'll have one year from the second medical to land in Canada...my wife and I are in the same boat, but we did it knowing that she will probably need a second one, which suits us just fine because we want to have more time to save up before moving to Canada.

We are going through the Buffalo office...do you think we'll end up needing a second medical done? if they end up telling us we need to get a second one done will it delay the processing time by alot?
