This is the one instance where you actually pray that the VO doesn't read your SOP .
What you've said in your SOP is a big no-no, but let's hope it doesn't affect you. If your application is strong overall perhaps the VO will ignore this epic fail. They know most people that apply are planning to stay post study. It's just the "elephant in the room" that everyone pretend is not there .
Hahahahaha you made my day. I comment on his other thread that his application is moving very fast, infact 3 days Done reviewing biometric, 13 days after review of eligibility.
I dont give hope where its not, expect the worse. That statement on SOP messed up your chances
bruh why thinking about rejection. if you have good profile and application. VO will overlook that. at least u were honest. if you are young then they will prob overlook that. but to be honest, it depends on the rest of your documents and statment. if everything else was good and convincing then you should be fine. stay positive.
I applied for study visa from outside Canada on 4 may.
Biometric completed 7 may and review eligibility started on 20 may.
I wrote this in my SOP "I believe that after completion of my studies, I will also be able to start a successful career in the field of my expertise in Canada. Moreover, a degree obtained from a Canadian university can also open new avenues of success anywhere in the world especially in Gulf states where my father has already been serving"
I did not know that I am not suppose to write this. Now I've already filed my visa and can't undo it. Is it confirmed now that my visa will be rejected or should I keep the hopes? I don't want "fake hopes" so please be honest with what you think will happen now?
Dont worry you'll get your PPR. I had mine yesterday and wrote something like that in my SOP.
Something like the program will open a lot of opportunities for me in Canada....
I did not know that planning to overstay in Canada could be one of the reasons of visa refusal. I just got to know that today. Wish I knew that before I filed my visa
I'm not sure if you meant what you wrote here. But overstaying your visa anywhere in the world is unacceptable. Especially if you let them know upfront about your intentions.
One of the extreme things if you are totally worried about SP rejection because of the SOP is to withdraw the entire application, assuming it has not reached eligibility review stage. But this is only an extreme thing..just saying.
dude you made another thread hehe
As said in the previous thread -
chill mate, It's a visa and it's always a 50/50 game across all visas all around the world. If this gets rejected you'd reapply, you know it, we know it and the Visa Officer know it as well

Dual intent should not make them reject your visa by itself. Preferably you should not have written that, but I don't think it should affect your chances by a lot.

Of course it’s a reason . It’s a reason for almost all countries. You come on a visa, do your studies , and leave . If YOU ARE eligible to apply for PR, that’s a path to stay . But to say you’ll overstay isn’t the wisest thing to state, especially to the individual that can give a thumbs up or down on your application.
What’s done is done .
c'est la vie
