Will my study permit be approved despite low grades?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to apply for my study permit. But my grades are low.

My grades are,
First semester: B-, C, B, W, B-
Second semester: W, F, C, B-, D, W

I'm really concerned. Will my study permit be approved despite my low grades in my second semester?

I was going to University of Calgary, and I have been already accepted to it two years ago. My study permit expired, and now I'm preparing to go back again. My major is English. I haven't took an IELTS because I was already accepted to U of C years ago and I'm registered as a student.

Are your withdrawals with a cause?

I was sick, so I had to stop my studies and return as soon as my 3rd year was finished. I wasn't expelled or suspended by the school at all- it was just my personal circumstances that made me withdraw.
