Hi,
I am currently on my open work permit and 3 months pregnant. I am planning to have my baby born in my home country which is not canada. However I am planning to come here after baby is eligible to travel. But will I still get paid for my maternity leave from canada if the baby is not born in canada?

Where are you from? That may be a bit of a risky plan. If your baby is born in a non-visa exempt country, it will require a TRV to return to Canada and there's no guaranteed the TRV will be approved.
As for the maternity leave, you should qualify regardless of where your baby is born.

Just to add that even if you manage to get the new born a TRV, not guaranteed, you need to research any impications if any for health coverage for the province you are returning to.
