Hello Everyone
I am new to this forum. I am currently in my 2nd semester, i have two more semesters to go ( next fall and winter ) i will be taking two courses next winter which will be my last semester, but for being a full time student you will have to minimum take 3 courses. will i still be eligible for 3 year work permit ?

To be eligible for 3 yrs pgwp. The following applies based on my researched knowledje
1) 4 terms spread over 2 years ( 1 term -4 months hence total 16 months of course)
2) Awards 30 credits or more
3)non distance non partime
4)should be from a publicly funded cllg

The rules however are slightly different for univ based programme

It's ok to be part-time in your last semester. Even if you have only one course left in your last semester, you will still be eligible for a Post Graduate Work Permit after graduation. Read eligibility criteria for PGWP on CIC website.

tusharnayyer: Are you familiar with the credit requirement for university (public) students applying for PGWP? Is it ≥ 30 credits as well?

I tried looking/searching for this information on the CIC site but couldn't find it. Thanks!
