Hey,
I did post this earlier as well .. Thought I'd rephrase my question..
My father is an ex-army officer now working in a private firm. He retired in 2006.
My elder and younger brother are both serving as officers in the Pakistan Army at the moment.
Since one has to mention the occupation and address in the family information form, will this have any negative impact on the visa review process? .. This question might seem absurd .. but still .. This forum is for gathering information right...?
It has no impact what so ever. I am myself a X Army officer from Pak Army. I have applied for immigration in August 2009. Though I have been asked for Police clearance certificates from location where I have served during my military tenure, there is no other restriction for immigration or applying as a student in Canada.
@zub...i request u plz dun say any thing about pak army..it is immigration forum so just discuss about visa.if u want to discuss about army u can join facebook groups related to army its my free advice to you..
Yar.. you took it wrong.. Please tell me what was the purpose of this question? The question meant that being a family member of a military person, will there be any problem due to that.. I gave my sincere advise.. My father and brother has worked in Army as well.. but you can't deny that the army is fighting for western countries, (whether they acknowledge our sacrifices or not). i was assuring the guy that no need to worry about this.. the western countries should have given us more favours in visas as Pakistan has risked her integrity for this war..
The sole purpose of this question was to get advices from different members of this forum. I asked the question so that if there is any additional document required (security clearance etc) relevant to my query, I should work that out in time so that I dont delay my visa application.
Anyhow, lets stick to help each other out, as everybody here from any part of the world is an Applicant and wants to go to Canada as much as we do .
