My husband is the one immigrating here from the U.S. He got an honourable discharge from the Marine Corps for a knee condition. Doesn't require any treatment, he just can't do his job as a Marine anymore.
He was going to get compensation from the Veterans Association, since his knees got messed up while he was in bootcamp. I know I can't be on any sort of financial assistance, I was wondering whether or not him getting compensation from the VA would affect our application.
