Will a 5-term diploma + internship count as a 3-year diploma for Express Entry purposes?

Hello guys,

I completed an engineering diploma that had a total of six terms (started in 2021 and finished in 2024)—five study terms (six courses each) and one internship term. My official transcript shows that I completed 96 credits, and my letter of completion states that the program took me 30 months to complete.

Am I eligible for the 3-year diploma category under Express Entry? My question arises because I know students in other programs who completed their studies in 16 or 20 months and were still counted as having a 2-year diploma (24 months).

Who determines my eligibility? Should I submit a request for clarification? And should I mark my diploma as a 3-year program when applying?

I started in September 2021 and finished in May 2024, which is almost 3 years. However, the website and the confirmation letter state that it is 2.5 years or 30 months.

I’m confused how is your situation the same as students applying for a program that is 16 or 20 months?
