Hi Everyone, I'd like to seek expert advise on my current dilemma. My wife and I got married in Canada this year, at that time, she was in Canada with tourist visa. She plans to return to Canada this December so I decided not to apply for spousal sponsorship because I am afraid once I file the sponsorship, she will have problem getting in using her tourist visa. Am I making the right judgement? because by doing this, I am further delaying her sponsorship, maybe I can just file it anyway or maybe it was never an issue in the first place. Please note that after our marriage, she is still using her name. .

Thanks Canuck_in_uk. Just wasted 3 months because of my wrong judgement. should have posted and asked help earlier. Anyway, thanks for the advise and I'll go ahead and process it now. Have a wonderful day!
Visa never guarantees that a visa holder will be allowed into the country. So regardless of if sponsorship application is submitted or not there is always a risk that she can be refused entry to Canada. She will need to be very honest with the CBSA officer and declare that she is married and is coming to visit her spouse.
