I am a Canadian permanent resident and i got married last year April in India. I sponsored my wife and she came to Canada 2 months ago. After living together for two months, we realized we are completely different person and she misses her family so much that she decided to go back. I tried to convince her to give at least an year before making a decision but she said she don't like this place, don't want to live me and don't like me anymore. Anyway, she left to India week ago.
I am going to talk lawyer to start divorce process. I have few questions.
1. Can i file for divorce here in Ontario without my wife being present here?
2. I bought a condo after marriage and is it going to be 50/50 split?
3. We only lived together for 2 months in our whole marriage. Can she claim any of my asset?
4. I am eligible for Citizenship and planning to apply? Is there any reason it could affect my application?
5. What do i mention in the application? married, Separated?

1. Yes - once you have been separated for a year.
2. Talk to a family lawyer. This isn't an immigration matter.
3. See above.
4. No impact.
5. If you are applying now, I would apply as married.
