I have received my medicals today for my PR application. I am in canada on work permit. My wife is pregnant ( 2 Months). She is expecting a baby in July 2010. My work permit status expires by then.
Can my wife go through with medicals?
Maple : I have seen your previous posting and you were in similar situation before. Can you please let me know how do i deal with this situation. BTW iam in toronto. can you let me know which DMP did you visit?
dont worry ur wife can go for medicals......just x ray will not be done....tell them that she is pregnant .....baby's chk up and ur wife's x-ray will be done after her delivery.....
go ahead....all the best
If you want a true answer instead of a nice answer, then YES, this will delay the whole process immensely:
There will be no PR visa without chest x-ray whatsoever. It's impossible.
If you don't want your wife to be x-rayed you'll have to wait before the baby is born. Then you'll have to update your forms. By then all your certificates will expire and you'll have to start everything from the beginning.
My advice: go, just proceed with the medicals, do X-ray (this is CHEST X-ray, not stomach, so there is nothing to worry about) and everything else. With a little luck you'll be landing in Canada before the baby is born.
may be u dont know......no preg women can go for any kind of x-ray ...it will be harmful for baby
kishore
i think u can proceed.....there will be no prob.....ur wife nd baby will again be examined after delivery even after getting PR
now u have recieved ur med...just call the DMP he will tell u what can happen ...anyways u have to sub ur med within 3 months so u cannot wait till delivery...so go ahead.....all the best....nd plz update
Congratulations becoming a father. I can realize in your situation. I would like to put some comments on it.
At first, go to doctor before making any decision. Ask him, if X-RAY really harmful for your baby or not?
suppose, if doctors says, it is not harmful then go ahead as requested by CHC.
But if doctors says, it is harmful then take a report from Doctor. Then Write a clarification letter to them by mentioning your scenario. Attach doctors reports with it. Tell them you did possible medical checkups suppose...blood test,.......etc but can't do the Xray...etc due to her pregnancy. And tell them if required, you is ready to do her Xray/ others before her entry to CANADA. Also mention that your VISA will expire by then so that they can continue process your application.
I think as a human being they will sympathetically consider your case and if Xray still requires then they will give her time to do it. So please do it accordingly. If they really needs her XRAY and stop processing your case then it would be bad luck but don't forget you becoming a father which is the real blessings from Almighty.
