Hi! My wife landed from the Philippines 2 weeks ago. We are planning to go to the US to visit her family on August 27 via airplane. She has a multiple entry US tourist visa. If her PR card doesn't arrive before the 27th, does she need a PRTD (permanent resident travel document) to return to Canada? She has a multiple entry canadian tourist visa but it expires on December 1 (less than 6 months validity left). Will that visa be enough to allow her back into Canada if the card doesn't arrive on time? Thanks!
Looking at her passport, her visa wasn't cancelled but it expires on December 1, 2016. Does the 6 month validity rule apply deeming the visa invalid thus requiring a PRTD in her case?
