please don’t come at me on this and respect my religion and my country’s traditions. As few of you may know, cousin marriage is still common thing in the middle east. I am a student and a permanent resident here in Canada. I married my cousin last year, and I was wondering if I can sponsor her as my wife to Canada. I am currently 20 years old and she is 17. Would these factors ( being my cousin and below 18) impact the decision of her application? Does anyone of you know someone that went to a similar situation?
dude take it easy with the respect thing, no one cares who u married and why.
anyways to answer your question, wife being ur cousin has no impact on the decision but she has to be 18 to be sponsored as ur wife

Think you are naive. Many in Canada would likely have something to say with both cousin marriage and especially child marriage. There even may need to be an interview to ask the girl if she consented to the marriage and remains comfortable with the marriage since Canada is trying to address child marriage in Canada.
