Hi,
I applied to sponsor my wife this time last year. Everything went smoothly, her biometrics, background check, medicals. She passed everything. Then two days ago I received an email stating since we got married by proxy the application will be rejected.
She's from Gaza, the borders are often closed and travelling there is hellish. I went there twice and got stuck for 6 months before I was able to get out. I couldn't physically be there unless I wanted to lose my job.
My only question if she manages to get out and go to another country and we meet and get married again there then submit it, will she be accepted or still get rejected?
Get married again in a form that is legal in Canada (proxy marriages aren't legal here, except for people in the military under certain circumstances).
Once you have done that, you will be able to sponsor her, assuming you meet all the other requirements. Your current rejection does not mean that a future application will be denied.

I'm traveling next week and getting married again. I'm just wondering if I submit my new marriage certificate with a letter would it be accepted? Or the application will be rejected regardless?
