So my fiance and I are getting married this year and will shortly after apply for her PR. What makes the situation a little complicated is that she had 2 children from to different men. One of the kids is in joint custody and she believes it is likely that the father will not let the child come to Canada.
Will this hurt our application? Is it possible to leave the child and apply for him at another time until we are successful with negotiating with the father?

The child will have to be included in the application as non-accompanying. Provided the child still completes the medical as required, there should not be any issues with the application or sponsoring the child later (until 21 years old).
