I tried to search for my case but could not find a similar one at the start. Below is my situation:
- Open Work Permit upto July 2015
- Planning to apply for PR under CEC in July 2014
- Just got married and my wife is in India.
- I want to apply for a PR for both.
Questions:
- I will be applying for the PR in Canada. In the application forms, what address do I give for my wife - Indian or my Canadian address?
- Where will her medicals be done?
- Can she visit me on a visitor visa AFTER my PR application?

- I will be applying for the PR in Canada. In the application forms, what address do I give for my wife - Indian or my Canadian address? Address for her will be where she is to get her communication via mail. If she is not joining you immediately after marriage, then Indian address. But since you are the primary applicant, your address is what will show up on ECAS and on your file.
- Where will her medicals be done? Depends where she is at the time you get your MR.
- Can she visit me on a visitor visa AFTER my PR application? Of course she can.
Questions:
- I will be applying for the PR in Canada. In the application forms, what address do I give for my wife - Indian or my Canadian address? Give her actual address. You can change that later if she joins you in Canada.
- Where will her medicals be done? Wherever she wants. Medicals can be done anywhere in the world that you can find a designated "panel physician".

- Can she visit me on a visitor visa AFTER my PR application? She can visit you if she has a visitors visa. PR application does affect temporary status.

I would suggest, first apply Visitor Visa to her and then apply for PR. If you apply PR, it clearly says that she intend to stay in Canada for long time. But if you apply visitor visa which is temporary, it is controversial to PR. Hence there might be a possibility for rejection of visitor visa, however it doesn't affect your PR application. Generally some of my friends who applied visitor visa after PR application got rejected.
In application you should mention the address where she is staying at the time of application. It doesn't matter as we can change the address later on. medical also you can do anywhere with CIC certified physician.
I waited to get my wife OWP before applying PR as lot of my friends got visitor visa refused after applying PR, but again it depends as it will delay your file by fortnight or so....
I have started filling up the forms and collecting documents.
Anyother question: My wife currently works in India - does she have to submit her employment recommendation letter with NOC code and job responsibilities?

No, only the primary applicant is responsible for providing the reference letter. Just to follow up on what was said earlier, make sure that you get your wife's visitor visa before you apply for your PR. Chances of a visa getting approved after your PR application is in process reduces by a lot.
