I am trying to extend my mother visitor visa. present allowed stay time from aug-2016 to jan-2017(6 months)
Already have medical insurance coverage till the last day of the her stay.
Now that I want to extend her stay as visitor and trying to apply online. CIC is asking for 1 year medical insurance, I am confused:
1. Visitor visa may be only extended for 6 months, than why 1 year medical insurance is needed ?
2. If in any case, If I have to purchase insurance. till what date medical insurance should be. how 1 year is counted ?
I think you should search for insurance comparison sites as they deal with several policies. I've used bestquoteinsurance.ca in the past, they have a support line where you can ask them about your coverage options. Hope this helps!
