My Australian friend is currently in Canada after entering on the WHP. He applied for an extension of his WHP while his employer submitted a LMO - however the LMO has been rejected based on the wage (apparently acting teachers should earn $50 an hour, go figure). Just to confirm, is my friend still able to work on the WHP until CIC officially reject the extension application?
If he submitted the application before his original work permit expired, he has implied status and can continue working. He's still able to work until he gets written confirmation from CIC indicating otherwise.
