I am Canadian. My common-law partner is from Japan but she is living with me in Canada. We are applying inland
I know that SHE the principal applicant HAS to fill out both of the above mentioned forms...
but im confused..do i have to as well. The Guide on the CIC website is WAY TOO VAGUE
It says:
This form must be completed by:
you, the principal applicant;
your spouse or common-law partner (whether accompanying you to Canada or not), and
your dependent children aged 18 years or older (whether accompanying you to Canada or not)
OKay.... so I am her common-law partner so accoring to the website i should fill both out as well..but the wording makes it seem like only the principal applicant's common-law if they are also applying for immigration!
IMM5406 really looks like it should be completed by her..not me.... if i dont get a clear answer on this forum, i will fill them out anyways..i figure that filling them out CANT HURT the application.
