which version of IMM5669 to use for Outland Spousal Sponsorship

Hi All,

I am about to submit my application and I noticed that IMM5533 takes me to IMM5669 11-2018 whereas a newer version 06-2019 is also present. I filled IMM5669-06/2019 version. This new version does not have the validate button as well. Can anyone please confirm which version to use? I have checked the IMM5525 guide in canada.ca and it also takes me to the 11-2018 version but I don't understand what is the point of introducing 06-2019 version?

The most up to date version of IMM5525 (Document Checklist) seems to be the 06-2019 version (for Spouses) and it's the one I am currently using for my application. I get that this document might change based on who and the type of sponsorship/country so that might be a factor also. Are you making sure to use the right selections as that will cause the forms to change?

If it's not the above I can't say for sure but perhaps websites outside of the official one might not get linked up to the newer versions. I checked the basic guide and it links to get your application (my above link) and it indeed seems to be functioning normally. Check your inputs.

No, I do not see Version 06-2019 on website and also IMM533 check list uses EIMM5669 which is the 2018 version.

On that same link you shared, it clearly says:

Some forms have a “Validate” button. These include the:

• IMM 1344 (Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement, and Undertaking),
• IMM 0008 (Generic Application Form for Canada) and
• eIMM 5669 (Schedule A)

Shrug. I have the 2018 form as well which is what the website points at. It had a validate button. I can't say that if their stuff is telling to use that form that that it would be an incorrect version.

Are you sure that the 2019 one isn't different in some way based on selections? I can't seem to find that version.

Can someone clarify if they have had any issues based on using these forms?

the latest version of IMM5669 is nov-2018 and yes it should be validated

I did some more analysis and I was able to find out that IMM5669 v.2019 comes for a different sponsorship package. It is for sponsoring refugees.
For Spousal Sponsorship, its eIMM5669 which is of v.2018.
IMM5533 is the spousal form checklist. You should have it part of the Spousal application package.
