Hi everyone,
I and my fiancee are planning to move to Canada. He is on working visa for 3 years and currently well-paid employed. We planned to get married in Canada if I got the tourist visa, unfortunately, I was refused for various reasons (due to not good tie and connection with the home country, less funds in my bank account and unemployed). So, what options do we have left, given our background as follow:
Me:
- Bachelor in my home country
- Master degree in the UK
- Had one-year UK visa till Jan 2019 and 6-month Schengen Visa ended in Nov 2018
- Currently on a 4-month internship in the UK
My fiancee:
- On 3-year working visa after completing a 2-year postgraduate certificate
- Employed as a software engineer since July 2018
- Well-paid for 80K CAD annual
Our relationship:
- We've been together for 7 years but spent 3 years for a long-distance relationship and only met once during that time.
Since I have been refused for tourist visa once, we need to be cautious next time. Based on past experiences and success rate in South East Asia, what do you guys suggest?
1. Should we get married in our home country and go ahead and apply as Spouse Visa?
2. Or shall I apply separately as an international student for a one-year postgraduate certificate? Given that my parent will support my finance.
Which one would be better in terms of success rate, waiting time and cost? And is there any other way?
Kindly reply, its really urgent and we are confused.
Hope you all help us!
Lots of Love
Emma
