My IELTS result shows my First Language as Telugu which is what i had selected as it is my native language.
If i select None for the question "Which language test did you take for your first official language?" I am told i am not eligible.
Do i need to get my IELTS corrected to state English as my first language?

You interpreted the question wrongly. You should just answer "IELTS" for that question.
The "official language" mentioned refers to the two official languages of Canada: english and french.

Understood, thanks!
