Hey Guys! I'm a newbie here. I'm from India. I'm planning to move to Canada next year. And I'm planning to apply for a traditional arts course as it will provide a better basis for a good digital painting/ concept art career. Although, I dont know where to apply. I have three options
Sheridan's visual and creative arts
Humber's visual and digital arts
Centennial's Fine Art Studio
Although Humber and Centennial are a little more expensive than Sheridan, I wouldnt mind paying as long as its worth it. And Also Ive got a friend who's applying to Seneca and we hope to share an apartment. so Humber or Centennial would be better options. But IDK
Can you please help me with that? Which one of these will be PERFECT for a basic arts course....? Thanks for your help!
Ive heard about Sheridan turning into a university. I'm just not sure if its good for an Arts course. So I wanna be thorough with my research before applying. Thanks for your answer Vipul
thanks RNK, and Exactly, I know its good for animation but I wasnt sure about arts either. But Do you think compared to Centennial and Humber Sheridan would be better?
My brother-in-law works in Sony Canada (Toronto) as a senior graphic designer. He says that they usually get interns (artists, I presume) from Humber, but Sheridan is also good.
Ohh ok. Well people told me Humber is good but Sheridan is better. And Humber is way too expensive you see. And their student's work isnt that impressive either. But if youve got strong resource saying humber is better. Please do tell Thanks for replying
Oh. He didn't directly say that Humber is better, but that they are good enough to be hired as interns. he said "Magaling daw arts sa Humber", a Filipino sentence which means "They say that the arts program in Humber is good". I haven't been to Humber, but Sheridan's campus near Square One (I don't know what campus it's called, but it's in Mississauga) looks super impressive! I wish I could study there, but it's too far away as my family is in the Scarbs area. Don't want to ride the Go Train everyday!
Oh..Ok. I'm applying to Oakville. Actually Ive got the same issue. My friend's with me and She's applying to Seneca. And We are planning to live together. And get at apartment between Seneca and Sheridan So We may have to use the "Go Bus" as its most convenient. Go train is just a 2 hour ride which is not very convenient.
Hi! If anyone who goes to or has applied for Sheridan can help me out... I applied online (but not through OCAS) last week of January. I checked in my Sheridan account this weekend and my status says "Firm Admit", but I haven't received any email yet to confirm. Should I expect an email from them to tell me how to proceed? Or will they be sending me an LOA through snail mail?
Hello. Happy new year
Presently Im in the same situation. I have recently completed bachelors in multimedia and planning to apply for the 3 colleges
Sheridan - Visual and creative arts.
Centennial - Fine arts Studio
Humber - visual and digital arts
Can you please guide with the information regarding

What should be my portfolio content to get an admission?
