Thinking to take 1 year experience of teaching from university. But I applied beforehand and my app was refused because of Job duties described in work reference letter.
Now its more than 3 years but still shows app status in cic website. That's why I am thinking about taking work experience from university will be wise or not............

Don't make the mistake of not disclosing your previous refusal, it will be seen as misrepresentation and will certainly make it harder to immigrate in the future.

Do I need to mention the file number of previous refused application in the new application?

Yes,if you read IMM 5669(she A) ,you have to tick the box(yes) then you also need to box under the tick marks.As others mentioned it would be a misrepresentation.CIC keeps records
