As the title says, where do I start??? Myself, husband and 2 kids want to move to Canada. We're Irish and hubby is a qualified plasterer and tiler, I'm a laboratory analyst. I'm finding the whole process of visa category, work permits etc very daunting and slightly confusing.
We would like to settle in skekatchewan or Alberta. To date, husband has sent out his resume for job postings advertised looking for plasterers, but no responses. Seriously, what is the best way to go about this?
Hypothetically, if he got a job offer, does he then apply for a work permit?
Once working, could he then apply for the provincial nominee sponsorship??
Sorry for all the questions, any advice appreciated.... Maybe I should my username to seriouslyconfused ???
If one of you manages to find a job, the employer who wants to hire you must apply for an LMO (Labour market opinion) proving that they have advertised, couldnt' find a Canadian etc. With the LMO, you can apply for a work permit. You can go as a family. The spouse of a skilled worker can get an open work permit. Once you are in Canada, you can apply for PR, for example through a PNP.
