Where should I lodge my Study permit application?

Hi,

I have a little question. Originally, I am from Pakistan but currently have been residing in UAE for last eight months on resident visa with my husband. I am looking forward to continue my education for 2012 with Canadian university, most probably with a university in Ontario. Please guide me, Where can I lodge my visa application, Canadian Visa Office Abu Dhabi or only Canadian Visa Office Islamabad? If any member can guide me.

You can choose any office provided that you can prove sufficient home ties (to Pakistan) and you current status in UAE. Pakistani's have applied to Abu Dhabi Visa Office in the past.

Also, how did you explain your current immigration status in UAE .
