When will the biometrics service resume in Canada?

Hi,

I have received the bio-metrics request 2 months ago and since then I am checking this site every day.

1#: I just want to make sure I am looking at the right site and to check if there is an alternative to it?

I see Seattle Center is open, in BC everything is open but biometrics LOL.

2#: If my biometrics is pending, that means my application is blocked? Or the other steps such as background check, review of additional documents will continue its processing?
Can this delay my PR?

2) Nope, they will finish rest of the things and wait to receive biometrics to finalize unless they waive it

Good to know that processing is not blocked due to biometrics, I wish they waive off biometrics.

It is a bit tricky to say "it is not blocked" as it actually kinda blocks it. Since they cannot run the background check without bios, basically you are blocked there.

When I called them to get some information, I learnt that my eligibility check was done and application was "approved" in May, and only thing remaining is bios and background check. So basically, I cannot get my pr, hence blocked, because of biometrics service disruptions.
