All,

I know that CIC will start accepting new applications only beginning May 2013. I was wondering if the forumers know of any resources in the CIC website that will enable me to start the legwork for the new application (pre-requisites, documents etc) earlier so that I can complete the application faster when the CIC starts accepting applications?

Thanks,
Sundar

Hi,

I am sure you have gone through the CIC website. Do you qualify the Basic eligibility criteria?

Basic eligibility

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must:

have a valid offer of arranged employment, OR

be an international student enrolled in a PhD program in Canada (or graduated from a Canadian PhD program within the past 12 months) and meet certain criteria.

Hi mitali!

He is talking about new FSW programme which will be launched in May 2013. You have given the incorrect info. This relates to present FSW scheme.

for new FSW programme (May 2013) check these links..

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2012/2012-12-19.asp

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/new-fsw-points-criteria-announced-new-federal-skilled-trades-class-fstc-t115576.0.html

for points calculation

http://www.newroots.ca/new_independent.htm

Three important things you will have to consider

1) Credential evaluation

2) Minimum Ielts 6 in each band

3) People are talking about there will be no list to choose from. any one with one year of continuos experience falling in skill level 0,A or B can apply

Thanks
