Just wondering when I must leave canada after my current wp expires in February, on my wp under the conditions it said I must leave canada before 15 March even though my wp expires in 15 Feb, not sure it is normal or mistake made the vo who issued my wp? Thought I must leave before my wp expires, just wanted to make sure as I don't want to overstay tocause issue on my pr application. I did not find there is a rule that you can stay for some period after current wp expires.
I am sure its a mistake by VO. Date for leaving Canada and WP validity date usually alings... you may want to call cic agents and confirm the validity date on your WP in CIC records just to ensure you leave Canada before the expiry date.
Thank you, yeah I believe the same, will call cic to confirm.
Saw your post also, if you read other posts, you are totally fine if you leave canada after you submitted the pr. There is no impact, you just need to update yiur address. Also ur case will still be processed in Ottawa. There is a post discussing how to get landing visa stamped in India as it is illegal to post passport, right? But regardless, your pr processing remains unaffected.
Thanks GDH1213... I did saw some posts but was not sure if it will still be processed in Ottawa or if the file will be moved to home country visa office... if it is processed in Ottawa, how do we get the landing visa stamped as we cannot send our PP's out of our country by courier? could you share the post you have referred below? Thanks!

thanks mtr2013. is there any specification in the cic website I can refer to? i know for some countries, you are allowed to leave within 30/60 days after the status expires, not sure if this is the case in CA? if you have the link stating the same, it is much appreciated!
