I read in the posts that Police Clearance Certificate should not be older than 3 months from the date of submission. When is the best time to start the process not be too early and not be too late.
Should I start the process as soon as I send the documents to Sydney, CIC?
I am from India and now I live in USA. Indian consulate in US may give PCC within 10 days which may be early given that I will submit PCC to Buffalo Visa center after 120 days (approximately). FBI takes upto 16 weeks.
Can some one share their thoughts? I am planning to pursue in NOC 0213 category 1.
The sooner the better. I applied to Indian embassy in NY and it took 45days. The US FBI will take 13 weeks. I think they will be valid for about an year. 3 months is too less. I was asked by my attorney to start as soon as the docs were submitted to Sydney. I got from Indian embassy...still waiting from FBI
For CIC purposes, they are valid for up to 3 months before the application date. The application date is the date the initial application is received at CIO.
You should go ahead and apply for them now. There willl only be a problem if your initial application is returned from CIO, and you have to re-submit. Even then, you should have enough time.
