When is IELTS TRF delivered after the results?

I took the March 4th IELTS and received results online on 17th March. However not received the hard copy by post yet. How long does it take usually?

Btw, got L 8.5 R 8.5 S 8 W 7

Depends on your country. BC in the UK uses Royal Mail. The results are out on a Friday and by Saturday, the TRF was in my mailbox. People in other countries got their TRF a few days / weeks later.

I also took IELTS on 4th March in SG, got my TRF on Tuesday, 21st.
If you need the TRF number, you can check with BC. I got mine through email.

Or follow this format:

I believe TRF Number has the format
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Year|CountryCode|CandidateNo|3 letters of Family name|First Name Initial|CentreCode|G(for general)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Year however would be 16 until May I guess ( financial year maybe )

You could do a google image search for keywords "ielts trf" and see sample trf numbers and verify this

It depends, here normally the results are posted only on a Friday and ready to get the hard copy on the next Monday

hi mate,
can u assist me on how to get trf no. from BC after results are out.
i understand we cannot update ielts score in EE profile without TRF no.
if i wil wait for hard copy, i will oose anothe week or 2 and a possible draw in bw.
also, how much time it took to get the trf number from bc?
