I'm currently a PR holder living here for 7 months. My parents wanted to come here to visit and while applying for a temporary permit online on CIC it asks to provide the purpose of Travel like Return flight ticket or Itinerary. Should I put my lease agreement only under this? Is it compulsory to provide Return Air Ticket?
 
Don't buy air tickets until you have the visa. You can use sample itineraries showing the flights you'd take.

Purpose of travel is why they're visiting Canada. You can also submit a letter that details their obligations back home, why they'd return, etc.
