I thought it might be interesting to find out whereabouts everyone wants to move to in Canada. (And give us something else to focus while we are patiently waiting)
I am originally from Edmonton, Alberta, before I moved to the UK 7 years ago but we want to move to Annapolis Valley,Nova Scotia next year. My parents moved to the area from Alberta so we would like to be near them. I have only visited Nova Scotia once and I know it will be very different than Alberta. I do miss being so close to Jasper and Banff though!
So what city, province will everyone be going to (or already there in the case of Inland applicants)?
Newfoundland, St. John's area. Close enough so that we can take short, inexpensive road trips to visit my husband's hometown and family, but not so close that we'll have the in-laws knocking on our door every other day .

I can't convince my future wife to move out there, I lived in Gander before, but she's a dyed in the wool manitoban, and we currently live in London... Blah. I want to move to the rock.

Haha. My husband's family mostly lives in and around the Gander area; it's a nice, peaceful area. Gotta be careful when driving out there to visit, though. 4-5 hour long road trips = gotta watch out for moose along the TCH!
DON'T go through Terra Nova park in the dark... lol
The Swamp Donkey's are plentiful.
I had to go to St. Anthony once for work, and we spotted 70 (that is right SEVENTY) moose between the airport and the town.
I once almost hit a Caribou in downtown Gander on a sunday morning as well, which had me in stiches for a while.
I am trying to convince the other half that St. John's is beautiful, and that it is well worth it, and that I'll make tonns of monies and such, but all she see's is the bad weather on TV and the hars winters.
My husband lives in Elliot Lake, Northern Ontario. He's promised we'll visit some of the places he's lived before, like Calgary, but Elliot Lake will be home.
