What online work permit for caregiver with LMO??!!

I am trying to apply for a work permit online. I have a LMO from my prospective employer.

I understand live in caregivers are now to apply for open work permits due to changes..is this correct?

When I try to apply online I have to answer a short questionnaire with my intentions for working in Canada. If I state I will be working as a live in caregiver (for children) I get asked to try out the express entry route. Is this correct?

Do I have to do the points based route even If I already have a LMO and letter of employment?

No - you cannot apply for an open work permit. You will receive a closed work permit tied to your specific employer.

Live in caregivers don't qualify for Express Entry. So I'm not sure why you are seeing that option.

I thought so. So how can I apply online to work as a live in caregiver in Canada? All my experience for this job is gathered from outside of Canada. Is it possible to apply for the closed work permit online? I can see all the forms that need to be filled in though no details on how to submit them.

Ok, I see. I am being directed to a site called vfs.global.ca. I was a bit concerned as it looks like a third party site.
