What now?

I am a little confused as to the next step.

I submitted my application, which got delivered last Friday. What do I do now? Wait for an email from them stating the sponsor was accepted or not, after a month or two? When does the ecas become usable, after the sponsorship approval, or when they open your application?

So many questions.

Once a file number generated by CIC and your sponsorship approved; CIC would inform you by an email or regular mail about that and after that you can check the status of your application on eCas.

Thanks again. I will sit tight then, and not fuss over it for now. Looks like we have a little more than 30 days on average for sponsorship approvals this month, so we will see.

I would just like to know if they actually got my application, and that it was delivered to the right place or not.

Did you send your application by courier? That's really the best/only way to confirm your application was received.

Yeh, I sent it via FedEx, however the local office was not the best, and it got shipped to Mississauya, California. (yes, with a ya at the end) Mid-way through the shipment, they corrected the address, at least what they showed on-line, but I have no idea if it went to the correct place. It did go to Mississauga, ON in the end however, so that is good.

I used Canada Post priority mail and got a tracking number and my application was received on Mon Dec 3 having sent it on Fri. Nov 30. The tracking information states that it was successfully delivered.
