Hi, since i will be leaving for canada soon, i would like to ask of the items that are allowed to bring with me to canada. I would like to ask if personal blenders like nutribullet is allowed upon entry? And school supplies like pens, highlighters and markers?

Would discourage bringing things like school supplies the can be easily purchased in Canada because you are limited based on the airline's luggage allowance. Things like paper will add a lot of weight. The voltage and plugs are different in Canada which can damage appliances although I think our appliances can often get ruined abroad and not sure about the other way around.
Can we carry cumin seeds , pulses, pickles , ghee etc. To Toronto..I know they are easily available there but initial days without job everyone wants to save money....also can anyone share list of items banned to be brought in canada to assist while packing
Google is a great tool. If you go over your luggage weight allowance because you bring in a jar containing ghee or pickles they would be much more expensive. Also would think dairy products may be on the restricted list but haven't checked.
Allfood especially if dairy/meat/seeds/fruit should be declared whether the above link says allowed or not especially given the fines can be pretty expensive and outweigh any savings anyone might think they are making. Leave it to CBSA to decide if allowed in or not if not shown as specifically not allowed in the above link in which case do not bring it but ALWAYS tick the food box question.
As for initial days before finding a job whilst any savings might help many people tend to think in terms of months to find a job unless really lucky so bringing a lot of food items may be more trouble than worth.

Keep in mind that Canada (and the rest of North America) is 120/60 for electrical equipment. Most of Asia is 220/50. There is a significant possibility that your appliances won’t work or last very long in Canada. Laptops and phones are ok.
In case anyone doubts the scale of fines for prohibited food or not declaring any food items , that includes spices etc.... As said always declare and leave to CBSA to decide if allowed or not. Many airports employ canine patrols specifically trained to discover food items in luggage. Provided a traveller is sensible and avoids the obvious no meat/dairy/fruit and agricultural type seeds should have no issues.
