Hello,

I have been admitted as a visiting student but I want to be sure before I lodge my application. Should I apply for student visa or temporary resident visa? My studentship will last for 10 months. The officers at the application center told me that if I am going to study for more than 6 months, I have to apply for student visa.

On the other hand, there is a question in the student visa application form. What is my level of study? In the form I have some choices such as "PTC/TCST/DVS/AVS, CEGEP, University - Doctorate, University - Other studies, Other studies". I am currently a PhD student at my home university but I suppose my choice should be "University - Other studies" but I want to make sure of it. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.
