i wanted to know the duration of stay in canada to retain your new PR card.
i.e. how much time u can spend outside canada after recieving ur PR card in canada.

No that's not true. Currently it is 3 out of 4 years which is going to increase to 4 years out of 6 years.

You are confusing PR residency requirements 2/5 years with citizenship.

Hi,

i also want to add that the 2/5 years residency requirement to maintain a permanent residence status is calculated from the date you land not the date your pr card was issued,the latter is irrelevant.
