I have question, what is the last date to submit fSW under arranged employment option.

my employer abroad is going to get LMO for me but it will take 4-5 months , will the category 2174 still open after april 2014 ?

can2174 why would the category for FSW under arranged employment close?
As of May 4, 2013, applicants do not require an Arranged Employment Offer (AEO). We now require an LMO (Labour Market Opinion) from HRSDC. If we have a positive LMO we can apply under the arranged employment stream for FSW. The requirement for AEO has changed not the category itself that has been closed.

I am pretty sure I have this right. Correct me if you have read some news regarding any changes in rule.

my question is whether I can apply with +ve LMO after may 2014 ? As the FSW 13 starts from May 13 to April 14.

is the arranged employment category open all around the year(I know there is no Cap of 300 for Arranged Employment) ? But does it have any timelines before which I need to apply fsw with +ve LMO ?

Here's the note on the CIC website:

Note: Between May 4, 2013, and April 30, 2014, we will consider no more than 5,000 complete federal skilled worker applications from the eligible occupations stream for processing and 1,000 from the PhD stream. Within the 5,000 cap, we will consider no more than 300 applications per eligible occupation for processing within this same time frame. There is no cap on applications with a valid job offer.

Here's my take on it. The dates are in specific to the cap of application for the eligible occupations stream and PhD stream. Those dates do not apply to arranged employment as there is no cap on no. of applications. I do not see any reason as to why Arranged Employment category would not be open year round.

Although, your LMO probably has a validity period. Ensure you apply before that ends.

Question: Are you currently working in Canada on a closed WP?

Yes even I understood same from the above statement but wanted to be sure on it.

No i am not in canada , also I don't have WP.
