I got an ITA on 22nd December. I now want to go for the medical examination but they're asking for an "IME" number if I am doing it for PR. What is an IME number and where can I find it?
It should be in the ITA letter.

I was not asked to provide an IME number when I went for my medical exam.
On my medical form, it says "IME: Non EDE".
My medical exam is marked as "Passed" one day after I submitted my e-APR.

So what did you tell them it was for? They ask whether it is Student visa or work visa. For Express Entry, it is neither of those.

I think we pretended that it was for a work visa. I mean, I am not applying to study in Canada, so if I have to choose between these two options, I think a work visa would be closer to FSW-based PR. I should add that on my eMedical form, there is a section that looks like this:
Client Visa Details
IME: Non EDE
Upfront Medical Type: Worker

I checked the letter of invitation. I cannot find it there. It just says several options I have, and only gives my Express Entry profile number.

Same here.

It is only for paper-based applications. Tell them it is an upfront medical for Express Entry...there is no IME number for EE.
