My Work Visa has the following restriction "Unless authorized, must not attend any educational institution or take any academic, professional or vocational training course"
Now I have no interest in taking or attending any educational or academic courses, but if my employer wants to send me on a training course such as.. getting certified to work at heights, related to my work in construction, is this legally allowed or do I have to try get the restriction lifted.
I can't find any information on what defines a professional training course.

I think they should have made any bold, underlined and red like this: "Unless authorized, must not attend any educational institution or take any academic, professional or vocational training course"
If I were you I would call up an agent at CIC and ask him/her on the phone. Take a note of the time and the agent ID. If they said it's all good, then go for it. If not, I wouldn't risk it really.
