What happens if my Passport wil be expired in less than 6 month?

When they send me a PPR, do they require me to send a passport with more than 6 months validity ?

My passport will be expired in December 31, 2016.

I cannot extend my passport as I am a citizen of Korea who haven't served a military service.

If I cannot provide a renewed passport, will my application be cancelled?

1, There is no requirement to have 6 months passport validity in Canada. If a visa is issued it would only be valid to December 31st. No valid passport, no visa,

But this would mean you have to enter Canada before 31.12. If u did not recieve ppr yet, I would suggest you renew your passport. Not sure how long it takes over there, but I renewed mine and got it within a couple days. Then you can send cic details of your new passport

1. Read the OP's post, his country of citizenship will not renew his passport.

Your passport has to have atleast 6 months validity before u send it. My friend sent his passport woth 3 months remaining and cic asked him to send a new one.

Well.. I am sorry about your situation. I think you should talk to CIC and communicate this to them when you get PPR. They might already know about this requirement in your country so they might waive the 6 month requirement but anyway, you must land before the passport expires.
