What does UCI mean

Hi All,
yesterday I sent an email to CHC and today I got reply from embassy. I did mention Application number which starts with S******** but embassy asked me to mention UCI number as well. I know only my application number. What does UCI stand for...Please let me know about it.

Ok..I did check all emails, which I got from embassy but I have not seen this UCI number..Everyone gets this number when apply for student visa..please let me know..

It means UCI - Unique Client Identifier/Client ID Number

This is a unique identification number you are given when you apply to Cic for the first time. If you applied through online route, you ought to have it by now through any of your correspondence with Cic. If you applied online for both study permit and work permit, you will notice an EVN form has been sent to you. Log into your CIC Account and open the form. You will see your brand new UCI they just assigned you in it ;D You dont have to fill the form yet.

However, if you did not include a work permit application in your online application, you will not see the EVN form in your Cic account. Also, if you applied through paper route, you wont have it now. If any of the situation below applies to you;
a) your online study permit application didn't include a work permit application OR
b) you applied through paper route

then write them back and explain that this is your first time of applying to CIC and since you have not heard any correspondence with them prior to your making this recent inquiry, you have not been assigned a UCI
