What does "Due Date" mean in GMCS notes?

Hello everyone, can someone tell me what does "Due date" means in GMCS notes, I got mine today, and eligibility and criminality in progress, and it says due date : 2015/03/15 something like that. please advise

Due date on GCMS means a date before which your application has to be finalized.

For example: ZZ person applied in January 2014, then his application due date will be February 2015. All CEC application has to be processed in 13 months time frame.

I can't say for others but due dates are a joke in my case. I requested gcms notes twice so far and my application has pass both due dates yet still no updates. I gotta say CIC is among the least efficient government departments for a developed country.
