I am planing to move to Calgary in August, and I will be going in May to rent an apartment, so, when I move with my family the flat will be ready.
I need to know what document should I provide in order to rent a house. I believe that landlords ask for work proof, is job contract enough (as I have a job offer), or what proof should I provide.
Hi Rano all you need is a a canadian driver license which is the only document you need in to do any transaction.
If you don't have one your passport will do.
The best thing you can do is hire a realtor is free of charge and they will work on your behalf.
Proof of identity: your drivers license, passport, etc.
Proof of employment: pay stub, appointment letter, etc.
Credit report: may or may not require, depends on situation
Personal references: someone who can vouch for your personal or professional character
Not all these are required all the time, sometimes some other may be requested also. Really, it depends on the scenario. If you work with a Realtor, they will advise you about everything. Best of luck!
