So my husband will be landing in Canada shortly; he already has his Visa, and will be coming after the holidays.
He received form IMM 5292, simply called, 'Generic Document - 3 Part Distribution' in the mail along with his Visa. By my guess, I think this is a form which the Immigration Officer will fill out with him upon landing in the airport? He has to sign this as well...does he sign now or then?
Are there any other forms/documents he has to fill out beforehand (prior to leaving for Canada) or bring with him for the flight and his landing?
i think the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) should be signed in the presence of the Immigration Officer upon landing...this is just what I have read in this forum, let's also wait to hear from those who have actually landed
It says on the sheet, "do not sign until in the presence of an immigration oficer". I don't believe there is anything else you need to bring besides what they explained on the form. So - the passport with visa (of course), that form and the B4 listing the goods he's bringing (or "Goods to Follow" - or both if necessary). That's all I know for now as I haven't landed.
